Second Annual Poetry Marathon
Working Artist Studios, Sat. Aug.2nd from 12.00 noon – 12.00 midnight!
After the phenomenal success of last year’s inaugural event, we are delighted to report that the Second Annual Poetry Marathon was an enormous success!
Once again, poets, poetry lovers and poet-lovers came to read, to listen and to support. We had no difficulty in covering the twelve hours, with several poets and a good crowd there to ring out the day.
A very special thanks to our Arts Festival Poet in Residence, Dan Disney for opening and closing the Poetry Extravaganza!
Thanks to all who came, called in, stayed, listened, appreciated, supported and especially, the poets, among them: Dan Disney, Afric McGlinchey, Seamus Hogan, Michael McCarthy, Derek Coyle, Fiona Smith, Tom Moore, Ailin Becker, Seán O’Mahony, Tessa Gibson, Darragh Browne, Tadhg Russell, Colin louis, Adele Ogier Jones, Orla Murphy, Francesco Biondini, Alfie O’Mahony, Fran Woolf, Tess Leak & the Seisiún Poets, Tommy O’Sullivan, Isobel Baldwin, Grant March, Celia Watson, Mary Kearney, Seán Flynn, Robert Wolfe, Thomas Weigandt, Jim Brennan, Nick Smith, Clodagh Swords, Miranda McCarthy Fisher, Jamie McCarthy Fisher, Sarah Doyle, Miranda Daly, Clem Cairns, Breeda Murphy and Paul ó Colmáin….Special kudos to Marie Cullen for welcoming and (wo)manning the door all day.
